About Chamblee High School Baseball

The Chamblee High School Bulldogs baseball program, based in Chamblee, Georgia, boasts a rich tradition of excellence. The team concluded their 2025 season with a 13-14 overall record and a 11-10 record within Region 4-5A, finishing fifth.

Brian Ely has served as the head baseball coach at Chamblee High School since 2006 and is one of the most accomplished coaches in DeKalb County history. In April 2024, Coach Ely earned his 300th career victory. Over 20 seasons at the helm of the Chamblee baseball program (2006–2025), Ely has compiled an impressive 313–231 record, placing him sixth all-time in coaching victories in DeKalb County. He is currently the only active DeKalb County coach to surpass the 300-win mark. Coach Ely’s teams have consistently competed at a high level, qualifying for the GHSA state playoffs in 12 of his 20 seasons.

Strong support is provided by the Chamblee Baseball Dugout Club (CBDC), a non-profit organization vital for fundraising and community involvement, helping maintain the program’s high standards. The team utilizes the beautiful Steve Westby Field for training and hosting games.

This commitment to excellence extends beyond baseball, as Chamblee High School has earned multiple Dekalb County All-Sport awards.
