Coaches

Brian Ely enters his 21st season as the varsity head coach with over 300 career victories. He was the DeKalb Dugout Club’s Coach of the Year in 2012. During his tenure, the Bulldogs have qualified for the state playoffs in 12 seasons. Coach Ely is a Chamblee native and played for the Bulldogs in the 1990s.

2026 will be Coach Turner’s 6th season with the Bulldogs and 10th season as a varsity assistant. Coach Turner also has college experience, spending 4 seasons as the Morehouse 3rd base coach. Coach Turner works with our infielders and specializes in hitting mechanics.

Returns for his 25th season coaching at Chamblee High School.

2026 will be Coach Ridgell’s first year with the Chamblee Baseball program. In addition to coaching baseball, Ridgell also serves as the band director for the high school.
